Good afternoon, hope you are all having as good a weekend as is possible in these circumstances.
I was hoping some of you might be interested in the St Ann's Ward mutual aid food hub service that soft launch a couple of weeks ago. We offer £10 produce boxes for local pickup on the east side of Chestnuts Park, once a week at the weekend.

We also need volunteers if anyone fancies it!
We aim for nutritious and balanced makeup of the boxes, at an affordable price. We have price checked and believe we offer a competitive box compared to commercial propositions. Boxes can be purchased by anyone as long as they are picked up on site at our distribution depot in N15.
This is a community buying model, with a "buy one, donate one" option. The solidarity boxes that are donated are provided to at-need households in the ward, either via St Ann's Mutual Aid, or CARIS. We also receive a large amount (over 2 cars worth) of short life produce by our supplier which is donated every weekend to CARIS, Tottenham Food Hub, and the Castle kitchen service.
Since we have been operating, we have sold over 150 boxes, including over 50 solidarity boxes and 6+ car loads of donations to food kitchens, thanks to community members taking part in this service either in buying or volunteering.
This week's box is available for purchase at the link below. If you would like to keep informed as to when order forms become available, please follow our social media accounts as I don't want to spam here.

I picked my box up this morning. There is a lot of varied good quality very fresh fruit & veg, and it is good value even at the £20 solidarity cost (buy 2, take one, donate one) price (which of course you don’t have to do it not appropriate to your circumstances). They are well organised for social distancing collection too.
I really recommend this.
