Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Haringey Council U-Turn over animal circuses
What a backward move by Haringey council this is. Years were spent proving that this was not a suitable way to treat or transport animals and they go and reverse this policy that nearly all UK borough councils hold.
Could this do with making money rather than the welfare of the animals or concern that the public had and still have all this time later.

Cheers Liz, did do a 'circus' search but only came up with the Moscow State thread a few months ago. The search facility on here never seems to work for me. Feel free to delete or merge : )

Cllr. Dobbie (Conservative, Noel Park) is leading the opposition to this silly u-turn. Anyone opposed to animals being used in circuses should seek the views of their local councillors and lobby them to oppose the decision at the next Full Council . FirstNameDotLastNameAtHaringey.Gov.Uk

Talking about silly u-turns, isn't this the same Cllr. Dobbie (formerly Labour, Noel Park) who jumped ships 'cos he thought he might have an easier time at the next elections if he were in the 'tory lions den'?
