Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

There are more than 600km of waterway running through the capital, the same distance between Brighton and Edinburgh. In the past our rivers were often hidden behind buildings, artificially straightened or even buried underground. But now many lost rivers are coming back to life by being restored back to as natural a state as possible.

London Rivers Week events help you find these rewilded rivers and discover what they can do for you, our city and its wildlife.

There are 45 events this year, all over London, mostly free. Locally there's an event at Woodberry Down tomorrow.

Watched a recent Country File programme. where it was reported that many rivers was drying out as Water Authorities take Water for Tap use

In Farming areas it is causing real concern

As with the Fire in Garman Road. Fire Brigade had to Run hoses from River Lea                                                 As it seems main water could not supply enough pressure

There must be a Limit to what Our Old water mains can cope with as more Properties are being built             And Population keeps growning
