Cherry Trees Planted in Finsbury Park as Symbol of Peace and Hope
Five cherry trees were planted in Finsbury Park this month as a symbol of peace, hope and unity in light of recent terrorist attacks at a synagogue in the USA, churches in Sri Lanka and a mosque in New Zealand.
The inter-faith tree planting was organised by the Finsbury Park Trust, London Faiths Forum and the Friends of Finsbury Park.
Harringay Councillor Gina Adamou, who attended in her role as Haringey Mayor, said: “We all belong to one race – the human race – irrespective of our faith, race, colour or belief and this event in bringing communities together unites us all.”

What a great idea. But I hope volunteers will take care of them while they are still so small-weed round the tree pits and especially dump a bucket of water down the watering pipe [if there is one] if we have another dry summer.

Fingers Crossed they last.
Hope they have fences erected around them to keep dogs from training on them Was in Parks after the great storm when many trees was replanted. Many was used to get dogs trained by hanging off them.Was also reports of dogs been thrown, when they let go
No Action was ever taken even when their was Witnesses who recorded incidents
