Hi everyone,
As most people know Wolves Lane Garden Centre was taken over from Haringey Council by a consortium formed by OrganicLea from 1st April 2017. London Grown (a workers cooperative) are part of this new organisation and based on the site. A lot of their on going work is about community involvement. They have produced a survey for people to fill in, to find out what local people want from the site. Please find the link to this below and hopefully many people will fill it in.
Thank you very much.
With all good wishes
Mandy Hawting (Secretary of the Friends of Wolves Lane Group)

Update on Wolves Lane seems long overdue in this discussion!
The site is now open to the public on Sunday afternoons from 12 to 4 for site tours and teas. Do come and see the palm house, now lush and beautiful after a nice hot summer, and look at some spectacular vegetable plants - many using innovative growing methods which will be of interest to gardeners. We are trying to build up stocks of plants for sale but it's a rather slow job with all the things we need to do before the winter, so if there's anything in the palm house or gardens that you fancy, let us know and we'll try to propagate one for you.
We are fund-raising for solar power and for better insulation for the palm house and the cafe - see www.spacehive.com/wolveslanepalmhouse. You can see a great video clip there and a visual tour of the site. We need another £13k by Dec. 10 - please spread the word!
Special events coming up:-
Next Saturday Oct 27; 'People's Feast' with food, music, films and a gardeners' seed swap - see www.greenlab.org/2018/10/09/london-peoples-feast/
Sunday Nov 4; kids' art workshop, bonfire party, and a consultation about the future of White Hart Lane park. Watch this space.
