Help please dripping tap
can anyone tell me how to get the red cap off so I can unscrew the top to change washer? See pic. I’ve tried everything even making a hole to get it off. Is it possible these taps can’t have the washer changed?

I would also have presumed that the cap would either unscrew or flip off. These look like standard pillar taps so you would expect them to have washers.

Normally you just flip them off using a kitchen knife or a Stanley knife blade between the cap and the metal.
