Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I asked Alan to take photos of cracked and broken pavement we saw when walking on the north side of Mattison Road near the junction with Green Lanes. He later reported this.

Haringey staff have now visited and reported back that they’ve asked contractors to make repairs.

Thanks to anyone else who may have reported this problem before we did. Every pair of eyes and each report helps keep up standards.

You reckon you could pop into the RMFV Charity at #474 and tell them not to dump their unwanted stuff next to that Virgin box? They drag couches, mattresses, broken furniture and any other junk they don't want round there almost every single day.

But they're a charity! Laws don't apply to them!!!!

I've often been puzzled by this charity. Can anyone tell me what they actually do?

Dear All

I have looked up Raising My Voice Foundation (R.M.V.F) on the Charity Commission website. The link is here:

http://beta.charitycommission.gov.uk/charity-details/?regid=1147387...

You can see their charitable objectives, accounts, trustees etc. Their accounts are up to date.

Regarding any problems with dumping, I will be contacting David Shipp who is our very helpful Enforcement Manager for this area and ask him to pop in to talk to them about waste.

It would be very helpful if you could provide any photos of people dumping so things can be substantiated and pursued more effectively. We cannot just make assumptions.  In any event I will tell him concerns have been raised so he can look into it and get any problems solved.

Thanks

You would have found more looking on HarringayOnline.

It seems to me that many of those aims are already probably adequately covered by non-charitable council and governmental bodies.

nonsense..

Have you seen the state of the potholes that have suddenly appeared in roads around Green Lanes. Too numerous to mention, but a hazard for cars and cyclists. Reminds me of last time the Tories had been in power for a decade!

I have reported the potholes on Pemberton and Beresford and am happy as always to chase things  up.  I have noticed potholes appearing as well, and also that road surfaces appear to be  sinking. If you give me the specific roads I will report them. Alternatively anyone can report by email to frontline@haringey.gov.uk.

Let me know if you get nowhere!

Thanks

Massive pothole recently appeared on Endymion Road, 10 metres or so from Green Lanes junction .

Could you report that please Zena, or let me know who to contact?

Thank you

Hi Nicky

I will report it. But if you could, also report it - the more the merrier!

frontline@haringey.gov.uk is the email address.

All the best

Something weird is happening in the city too. In the past month or so sinkholes have been opening up.
