Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

A few of things thing that struck me looking at Haringey -

- The clear west/east divide of building density of the borough (the railway line is the border) with what looks like a very large amount of the space in the west being undeveloped land.
- From Endymion Road all the way up to the civic centre, apart from the little sanctuaries of Railway Fields and Fairlands Park, the only open space available to folks is Ducketts Common. The solid blob of Wood Green completely open space free.
- Tottenham is almost solidly built on

All those cricket clubs in Crouch End own their own land so the council can never build on it, not like Downhill's Park etc.

Two natural areas have been omitted from this map - both Ancient Woodland remnants (like Queens Wood and Highgate Wood which are highlighted). They are Bluebell Wood and Coldfall Wood. http://www.haringey.gov.uk/environment-and-waste/nature-and-conserv...

There is (or was) a green area in the East of the borough that appeared not to be being used apart from people squeezing through a fence here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5942764,-0.0721915,351m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en

Is that the area behind the School? I have friends who used to live opposite on Sperling Road and you often heard owls there.

The railway line is not a locked gate, you can go over it or under it. 

Certainly you can but I doubt you can play on it, relax on it or spend an idle few hours on it.
