I'm putting this in a separate post from the one below about the Westminster disabled parking permit I found yesterday on my front path.
I rang Westminster this morning (Monday, which is usually busiest). They still have dedicated phone lines for each service, and I was put on hold for ...one minute, then spoke to someone very helpful who gave me an address to return the permit to.
I was struck by the difference between this and any attempt to contact Haringey council about anything, which results usually in a long hold before getting through to someone or being told to send an email. I know that Westminster has not always been the council of care - witness Grenfell tower - but at least you can get in touch with them!

Grenfell Tower is in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.
Feedback I have heard from RBK&C is weird. The first one is that they were shocked by the number of fraudulent claims for the £500 grants but that it was impossible to reimburse people who were affected but honestly said that they didn't need that much - so they got £500.
Second is that they have panic purchased some newly built accommodation in the borough but that hardly anyone is taking it as the kitchens are not separate from the rest of the living area. You're not allowed to see the women while they're cooking in some religions apparently.
Dilemma eh?

I beg your pardon??? I mean, I know some don't like women eating near men, hence the cafes around here having screens, but thats not one I have heards of
Gosh, don't some folk believe proper daft things!
Indeed. Hope Iceland is UCKG-free come December.
and hope too that all the local schools are advised against participating in Operation Christmas Child or Samariatans purse.
