Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi, we're soon to be moving to Haringey Gardens with our toddler and would love to know where you take your babies and toddlers.

Can you suggest music classes, baby yoga, libraries around the Gardens area? Thank you for any help you can give!

Downhills park & over the road to Lordship Rec. Lordship Rec has a great play area, paddling pool, pond with ducks & 'the hub' - a community centre/cafe which has loads of activities for children. Also visit Burleigh road playgroup. Tottenham green leisure centre is great it's got a library, soft play, swimming pool & children's activities.
Woodlands park children's centre is just out the back and has different things for babies and toddlers including a gardening club, which i think is free. Bean and Barley has a soft play and a range of singing classes, as does Blend and Music and bean. There's a library up st Ann's road that has a toy library, although not been to it yet.

Welcome to the neighbourhood!
Zip Zap on Friday mornings at the Salisbury is really nice.
Thank you so much for all your suggestions everyone! What a great group this is!
We have a 17 month old. Chestnuts Park has an excellent play area and if you want a good walk it is well linked to Downhills Park via Cornwall Rd. Downhills in turn is linked to Lordship Rec. Lordship Rec has a wooded section and duck pond. The Hub building caters for families with several activities. Downhills cafe has a music session - Tiny Folk Singers - on a Monday. The boy loves it.

For play groups there is Woodlands and Triangle.

For swimming I go to Tiny Swimmers at South Harringay School. Chestnuts School also offers swimming.

Sundays at Woodberry Wetlands is good for quiet walks; pond dipping for newts; and dragonfly spotting. The London Wildlife Volunteers love telling my son all about the abundant nature. For a longer walk you can get theready via Finsbury Park and carry on to Clisold Park. In September Walthamstow Wetlands opens. This is a huge new nature reserve.
At Marcus Garvey library there's Story time and Sing-along every Monday from 10.30 til 11.30. You could look into Wood Green's or St Ann's libaries for something similar if they're nearer.
