harringay railway bridge is one of the ugliest cheesy designs around. It desperately wants to be PC. CHEESE !

Yes hugh it's current clothing. The actual bridge design is adequate.

Very nice! And a nice move away from the all too familiar multi-coloured, mock Victorian styles of the last decade..

P.S. It's 'Gill Sans' isn't it?

P.P.S all they need to do now is get rid of those ugly phone-boxes! (How twee they are)..

Well, well. No need to go very far to get something like Nigel's creation for real. The next bridge up the line at the other end of St Ann's Road has just had this makeover unveiled:

I realise this came from NDC (New Deal for Communities) money, but it just shows what's possible. I'm trying to find out what it cost.
