Hi, at the moment there is one toddler group 0-5 on Thursdays but its popular so get there early as there are limited places and other things are due to get going soon. Have a look at this post in the Kids Stuff group where you'll also find details about other stuff going on as well.
btw If you join the group, I do a weekly round up of things related to children on the site that I send out to its members.
Hi Gillian, I take part in the Finsbury Park interval sessions myself and although they're hard they are a really good way to improve your running, and at the end of the sessions you feel great. We have two main groups running, an A group of faster runners and a B group. What kind of running do you do, and what are your 5k times like?
If I encourage you to come along to the FP interval sessions I think I'd be causing my flatmate Anna to lose a Tuesday night yoga student ... :) I saw that you mentioned her classes in one of your posts. If it is Anna Taylor that you're talking about she recently became my flatmate! But still - do come along on Tuesday nights. Judging from your 5k time I think you'd be at the back of the B group at least initially, but don't let that put you off - they're hard sessions, but definitely worth it and if you stick with them you will see a big improvement in your running, and it's a friendly group. Jacob, who organises the sessions, is great and will guide you in the right direction in terms of how you should tackle the sessions and any future targets. So come on down! I'm there almost every week, so would be there to welcome you and introduce you to folk. The sessions start at around 19.20 (roughly) so turn up around 10 past or so. See you soon?
Yup, it definitely is a small world. There is an interval session on Thursdays, too, although during the summer it's more catered to middle distances, which oddly enough is 800m-1500m. It's a smaller group of us, but definitely helps to improve your speed. In the autumn we'll switch to training for cross-country, which is great (hills and painful stuff like that). The Thursday sessions start around 7.15pm - come along and check it out! Sue
