Alison, I've just noticed that we have another "Alison" as a member. It can be helpful to have a unique ID so that people know who's who - helpful for you perhaps more than others. You could be Alison X.........or anything.

Up to you; just thought I'd let you know.

    Hi Hugh,

Good idea, have changed it. The site looks fantastic - I had a look for something like this a year or so ago so was delighted to stumble on it last night.

One thing that I'd be interested in finding out more about is people's experiences with local schools. Don't know if that is something that has come up before. I had a quick look for related stuff on this last night but couldn't find anything.

Alison, I happened to notice your comment to me. The best way to leave a comment for someone is on their page. You can either do this directly or via the "comment back" link in a comment left on your page. It seems counter-intuitive and took me a while to get used to. But doing it that way ensures the recipient gets a msg to let them know somone's commented. Hope that's helpful.

Re schools, there was this post - http://harringay.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=844301%3ATopic%3A5721 - about nurseries.

New member Liz has also started up a group called Kids Stuff (see main page, bottom-left). She's quite keen on that sort of thing. She's next to you in Warham. Perhaps her group is a good place to start a discussion about schools. We also have the Head of SHJS on board here
