Pianist and Dankworth prize winning composer Lior Solomons-Wise brings his quartet to Karamel for an evening of captivating original music. Many of Lior’s compositions take inspiration from the UK’s mountainous regions, weaving simple and beautiful melodies through enchanting harmonic explorations. A recent graduate from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, performing highlights include EFG Jazz festival appearances, the 606 club, Pizza Express Dean Street and the Vortex Jazz Club.

Zaki Osahn - Double bass; Jonah Evans - Drums.

Pianist/composer Kate Williams has gained a reputation as both a distinctive writer and performer. She has released several CDs, each one to critical acclaim, including Made Up and Atlas And Vulcana (with her septet) and Smoke And Mirrors (with tenor saxophonist, the late Bobby Wellins). In 2020 she won the Parliamentary Jazz Award for album of the year for Finding Home, a collaboration between her band Four Plus Three and vocalist Georgia Mancio. This evening the quartet will play some new originals as well as an eclectic mix of standard tunes. "...crisp, incisive and totally at one with the rhythmic ebb and flow." After the National Animal Rights March, we'll join our friend Liv at Karamel for a spooktacular night of trivia, music, costumes, and community — all in support of the Paul Watson Foundation's direct action to protect marine life and habitats from exploitation.

🧠 6:00 PM – Pub Quiz Team-based quiz hosted by Liv & Ollie, packed with seasonal trivia, general knowledge, and quirky surprises.

🤝 8:00 PM – Social Time to relax, mingle, and enjoy food & drinks from Karamel’s 100% vegan kitchen and bar.
