Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Weston Park Primary School - Any thoughts/feedback
Hi everyone,
We are currently considering sending our daughter to Weston Park Primary School. I was wondering if any of you had some thoughts / feedback on the school. The last Ofsted report from 2012 rates it as a Good school. I am wondering if things might have changed since then for better or worse. Any thoughts/feedback are very much welcomed.

Both our children go to the school and they are both very happy and making good progress. We have been without a head for over a year - but the interim team has been doing a good job. Like all small schools - it will be badly affected by the new school funding formula, and I am hopeful that the new head they are recruiting is able to shepherd the school through the tricky times ahead.
But - we love the ethos of the school - no uniforms, they call teachers by the first names, lots of extracurricular activities and clubs. Great wraparound care if you need it. And a lively community of parents.
The 'commute' over the tracks is a pain (we live on the ladder), but it was the school we were offered when we moved here (we didn't apply to it - we applied to both ladder schools). Now our kids are settled - we wouldn't dream of moving them. They both love school.

I think the school is fab, yes it has been without a head for a year but there are wonderful teachers there who have all rallied to make sure the children don't seem to have suffered. I have had issues (when the head was there and when he wasn't) as every school does, but they were always addressed and dealt with. It is such a luxury to have a one form entry school in London and on a park I think you should definitely take the place.
