Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our female cat is just over a year old she is spayed and microchipped.
She was last seen the morning of 03/04/3017
It's unusual for her to wander far and usually comes back when her name is called.

Sorry she is missing. Will keep a lookout, what a pretty cat. Hope she is found soon or comes home through the cat flap.

You were sensible to get her neutered and microchipped. Remember to call the microchip company and check that they have your correct contact details.

It may help to empty some contents of your hoover outside your home (or put out something which has her scent). Flyers are useful, including the road with gardens backing on to your garden.

It's good that you have put her details on Animal Search (I've copied over some more photos below to help neighbours lookout for her)

I have flagged her up to Stokey Cats and Dogs as they help with lost and found pets. There are also useful tips on their website on what to do if your pet is missing.

Thank you for help and advice
She is the 2nd cat from my home to have vanished
I also had a 2 year old female also spayed that disappeared 1st November 2016
It's making me wonder if they are being targeted by foxes?
The older female was very familiar with the whole area and would often follow me to the shops and local park would go out front and back unlike the recent female who only ventured as far as a couple gardens down.
What are your thoughts on it possibly being foxes?

Okay thank you for your thoughts

The reason I thought this a possibility is that about 2 years ago I had to visit the vet with my eldest cat who's 14 yrs old now due to an injury that looked to me like a pellat gun wound on her hind leg but the vet told me it was a fox bite wound.

I also read that foxes are solitary hunters and will only hunt at night however I often see foxes no matter the time of day and recently on an evening dog walk a passer by alerted me to notice that I was being circled and closely followed by 3 foxes walking through the park with my Staffordshire bull terrier, which I thought strange its not like she is a small dog breed.

Your probably right though I have seen before now a fox vs cat fight and the cat was winning

anyway thanks and fingers crossed they both soon turn up

Sorry to hear that this is your second cat to go missing. Fingers crossed you find her soon. Yes I agree with Anka, don't worry it's not likely to be foxes. If she's microchipped, hopefully you will get good news on her too. It's still worth putting up flyers about her too as publicity is the key.

It's good to follow the advice of rescue places like Scratching Post. It's safer if cats have catflap access to the back garden and best not to let them out the front door. If a cat had a routine of going to the shops, that's sweet, but I would try to break that habit and prevent her getting out the front - due to danger of road, dogs and not everyone is friendly to cats. If a cat finds a clever way to get round from the back garden to the front, try to block her access to the front.
Also they recommend keeping cats safe inside at night as a cat is more likely to get lost or injured at night. Just lock the catflap after dark once they are safe inside. They get used to the routine.

A cat needs catflap access during the day, otherwise they are likely to wander if they can't get inside when their owner is out.
I know your cats are chipped, which is vital. In addition to microchipping, these safety personalised collars are handy as you can have your phone number printed on the collar.

Thank you, yeah both missing cats are microchipped.

if any news on either one I'll update here

Thanks again
