Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've just had a call from the NHS blood transfusion service, and been told that they are critically short of type O, RH negative blood.

If you know of anyone who can help out, please call the service at 0300 123 2323 to arrange an appointment.

After all, as members of our group can only receive from other O negatives, it's in our interest to ensure that they're well-stocked!

Best,

David

I'm O neg and had a transfusion of 6 pints in the late eighties which probably saved my life. Unfortunately it also disqualifies me from giving blood because of the CJD risk.

really hope they get some. Im common as muck and also they wont have mine anyway, im too low weight for their guidelines

Thanks very much for your responses.

Of  course, anybody can help, not just those of us who have the dubious privilege of possessing a blood type which causes a panic should we ever need a transfusion.

Spreading the word on social media will do nicely!

Best,

David

When you have a blood test, ask for them to indicate your blood type in the test, if your testing diabetes they will only test that specifically.
