Just had had a visit. Two polite men with ipads who put various bits of info into their tablet and tell you that you could save £100s each year by switching to other suppliers - the top one being one I'd not heard off called INIESTA.
We're actually thinking of switching so I was interested in what they had to say about other companies, but lost interest quickly when they then did a hard sell on switching there and then. They are clearly on some kind of commission.
Does anyone know if they are legitimate? I did a quick google and found this:

I'd give them a major swerve - it's easy to compare deals and switch yourself, the legitimate MoneySavingExpert website is really helpful on this, I switch with them regularly. Would be wary of anyone knocking on my door and trying to hard sell me something, tbh. Also, isn't Iniesta a footballer?
Totally agree - I particularly hate the approach they use which is that it's all about helping you, but you need to sign up there and then. I had a google - is IRESA not Inesta! They do exist...
A good few years ago there were warnings about people coming round doing this and then switching people without them realising they had. So you might want to make sure you don't suddenly get a welcome letter/bill fro someone you have never heard of!
Sounds like a major scam. Beware, they will be working on commission.
If you're looking for a good provider, highly recommend Ovo energy. Recommended by Which? We had a fixed deal which I've just renewed as the customer service has been excellent and they were cheaper than deal I was offered on recent Big Community Switch
Websites which offer comparisons are useful, but don't take them as gospel. Figures often wrong. Best to do the sums yourself to double check. Just need last year's consumption, standing charges and £ per kWh
