Difficult to read how an accident like this could happen in peak hour traffic, & a 20MPH zone. Quite serious if the jaws of life were required to free passengers, I hope no one was hurt.

I think it happened around 3-4pm don't understand how it could happen there!

I've seen someone online is saying the van driver "had a fit" and lost control. Good job the tree was there as that is one busy pavement usually. And most of the damage to the 4X4 was caused by the cutting of the roof off. The someone online is also saying the 4X4 driver was okay.

I was there. Accident around 2.30pm. Agree van driver likely had seizure. Other vehicle occupants appeared unharmed.

I went past at 3pm and the van driver was being seen to by the paramedics.  By the look of it, it does make sense that the van driver would have had a seizure.  The driver and passenger in the 4x4 seemed OK when I went past and were still sitting in their seats but didnt seem in any distress so I am not sure why they had to be cut out.  Hope they all recover.
