Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi, I'd like to install new flooring over my undefloor heating system, that is inside a concrete.

I have been debating over what kind of flooring I should use and picked these two brands and their engineered wood flooring:

Kahrs engineered flooring

and

Quck-Step flooring

They are similar in coloration but I am worried they might be too thick for the heating to reach up and I still need to pick underlay.

So my question is - is that suitable flooring for underfloor heating and if yes what type of underlay I should use?

Also as a side question do you know someone who might fit the flooring for me?

We have underfloor heating and have engineered wood 16mm thickness and 3mm underlay (make sure you use the one specifically for underfloor hearing). Works very well with the heating.

I can't really recommend anyone but I know that installation shouldn't cost much more than £20 plus VAT per sqm.
Dear Frank,

The underlay and floating engineered floor will have to tolerate temperatures without delamination. Speak to the flooring supplier and get their spec in writing.

You will need a ditra-mat layer to diffuse the heat of the floor pipes through the concrete so it is not too concentrated in one area and affect the flooring.

Above.this you will need an.impact absorbent flexible underlay to fill in any uneven sections of the concrete. If the undulations are too great you will need a self levelling compound installed before the ditra matting.
