Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Walking home yesterday evening, I noticed how autumnal even Green Lanes has begun to look and grabbed this shot of weary workers making their way home.

A reminder that there's only just over two weeks to go till the clocks go back!

Lovely pic. I'm going to send the Canon back and buy some crochet needles instead :)

I can't see the pic, for some reason.

Sorry Maddy. No idea why that would be. Maybe try a different browser?

you have to click the hidden link - the blue " this shot "

It was another worrying example of gang trouble in the borough. I was keen to capture the beak-off lest the police should need witness of the bloody aftermath.

It was a weird kind of stand off, with ducks massed on the bank and a pair of swans scudding about the river seemingly laying claim to it. Gulls were swooping about overhead.

I saw this the other day on the Burgoyne rd end of the river. Those swans are vicious. So beautiful but sooo mean.
If you want to take up crochet, John, I have plenty of spare hooks - or knitting needles - to get you started!

Best offer I've had all week Alyson

I couldn't see the photo at first either.  Thanks for the steer, John D!   Great shot, Hugh.  I love it that your weary workers seem frozen in time.  That Salisbury photo, a while back, had the same 'feel.'
