Quick witted teen hero

Teenagers often get a bad rap but I have just witnessed a really extraordinary act that I felt I should share....I was on Upper Street when I saw a young boy, maybe 4, get too close to the edge of the pavement on his scooter and I could see he was about to fall into the path of oncoming traffic....from nowhere (it seemed) this teenage boy of about 15 bounded across the pavement, flung himself between the boy and the road, managed to scoop him up, all the while shielding him from approaching cars, and bundled him and his scooter safely back on to the pavement without even a scratch. There is no doubt in my mind that he averted a possible fatality with his quick wits, athleticism and plain old-fashioned bravery. Brought a lump to my throat.
