Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Stolen Purse

I just wanted to warn people that while I was shopping yesterday in Oliver Bonus, Muswell Hill 2 girls followed is in from the street they appeared to have unzipped my bag while I was walking and then followed us in and finished off the job by nicking my purse containing all of my birthday money as I was out for my birthday lunch but even worse it had my driving licence and all of my cards but a lock of my sons hair and photos of my kids .
I was choked to say the least as I really regret carrying all that important sentimental stuff around with me which was stupid and I was annoyed that I didn't even feel anything when they took it.
Oliver Bonus have it on cctv but not much can be done , but wanted to make everyone aware how easy it is for them and to make sure you take all the important stuff out of your purses now and be very aware my bag was on my shoulder and it was easy for them I would only use a cross body bag from now on with the at I front of me .
If anyone should happen to come across my purse in their bin it is a bright yellow Orla Kiely leather quite large purse with a lock of red hair and baby photos in .
Thank you and please be aware they target people with children I was hold a hand in one hand a land a cake in the other so they knew I wouldn't notice .

That's awful for you. It could've happened to anyone though so don't be annoyed at yourself, the only people to blame are the criminals who targeted you (and you can comfort yourself knowing that you doubtless have a better life than someone who has to resort to pick pocketing). I now only ever use cross body bags or backpacks (and I try always to be aware of anyone behind my backpack) since I had a bag snatched on seven sisters road a couple of years ago.

Thanks Anne-Marie. I appreciate your concern it isn't nice and seems I was targeted we thing they saw us in the restaurant as my friends had given me money for my birthday so it's a real choker but all I can do now is be more careful in the future I am always being a Haringay girl very careful with my valuables and don't use my phone in he street etc but what can you do for all of the nice people you meet there are always nasty people who do not care about others I am trying not to think about it anymore , just want others to be safe and not make my mistake by carrying things round like photos of your kids and a lock of their first haircut :-(
