Young men acting suspiciously on ladder roads
There are three young men separately walking up and down a couple of ladder roads this afternoon, taking photos of properties and going up to some front doors. We asked one wearing a white hoodie what he was doing and he said just looking for a flat. We reported it to the police because it seemed odd.

Just had a young man, possibly Polish, knock on my door on Pemberton. Showed me a photo of a room advert on his phone and asked was it in my house. I asked him what number he was looking for and he said he didn't know but kept asking was the room in my house and he was looking for a double room. I told him no and he headed off down the street. Managed to snap this photo of him from my window. It doesn't show his face but do you think he is the same one you saw? I would say he was early 20's, with fair hair, small features. Seems very strange to me.
Edit: just remembered he told me he lived in Finsbury Road.

I've deleted your photo I'm afraid. Since the subject of your image may be innocently asking for a room, I'm not comfortable with there even being a small chance of him being identified and stigmatised.

If he was looking for a room from an ad he would have had an address or phone number from the ad, not just going up to random houses showing them a photo on his phone! I told him that the police were aware of young men knocking on doors in the area and this clearly made him uncomfortable.

We had three young men, one wearing a white hoodie and the other two with white sweatshirts break into our flat last Sunday. They got through the front door into the shared space and then through our front door before we disturbed them and they ran off. This was on Hermitage Road and they ran towards Green Lanes.

Luke, I'm sorry to hear this, sounds like it might be the same people. The police are coming round to see me tomorrow, can you please message me your crime reference number and I will mention it. If you send me your email address I can email you the photo of the guy I saw and maybe you can tell if he was one the ones in your flat.
