Hello,
I have seen a few threads in the forum related to Spanish conversation groups and other events for native and non-native Spanish speakers in Harringay, but thought I'd start a fresh one to gauge current levels of interest.
I am a Spanish speaker, non native, but have studied the language at university and lived in Spain. I am keen to get together with other interested Spanish speakers for informal conversation over a beer somewhere cosy and local.
I'd be pretty flexible to work around the sort of thing that people fancy - whether you are trying to brush up on your conversation alongside language classes, or a native Spanish speaker in need of a change from speaking English all day.
Let me know if you are interested, or if there is still anything like this happening already I'd be keen to join you!

I am interested! I am also a non-native Spanish speaker who lived in Spain and am keen to brush up my Spanish. I am upper intermediate level! I put out a request recently seeking native Spanish speakers and meet up with a local native speaker for conversation.

Hi Jon,
I'm a non-native Spanish speaker as well. I've studied Spanish in Chile and travelled quite a bit in Latin America, but I stumble a bit with European Spanish. I'd be really interested in joining you guys (specially since there's beer involved, which helps a lot with languages).

I was in one of the previous threads and I'm still interested, but currently can't do evenings on Mon/Tues/Weds!
Native Londoner with good French and some Spanish learned at evening class, wanting to converse with Spanish friends.

Hi there,
I can do a Thursday possibly next Thursday 14 or 28 April. Be good to get some native speakers along...in terms of location an alcove at the Salisbury - in terms of cosy venues The Hopsmiths in Finsbury Park (previously The Noble)

Shall we give the evening of Thursday 28th April a go, giving us a bit of notice to get a decent group together. Salisbury is a good bet I think...how does that sound for everyone?

Just be careful that your chosen venue doesn't have music playing. I don't know about the Salisbury, but nosotros used to meet in one of the Parade cafes and it was quite difficult.

Salisbury usually has ambient music, but it's always so ambient that you hardly ever hear it. It tends to be noisy only at the weekends.

Sorry it had all gone a bit quiet so I left it and I must confess forgot it was suddenly upon us and can no longer make tonight. Still dead keen to get something in the diary that suits those that are interested!
