Save Wolves Community Garden Centre, Wood Green N22

As many of you are probably aware the above 3 and a half acre site is under threat of closure from Haringey Council in its present form. It offers a wide range of services for the local people such as :

1.A social and educational resource for adults and young people with learning difficulties, autism and mental heath issues.

2. 2,500 school children pass through its doors each year to learn about animal handling, ecology, conservation issues and much more.

3. A cafe run by volunteers.

4.Work placements for long term unemployed people.

5. A shop selling a wide range of plants and garden equipment.

6. Plants are grown here for local parks.

7. A unique palm house, desert area and rain forest.

Please sign the e petition from the link below if you care about saving our local centre. At the present time we have just over 1600 (paper and e formats). We need to get 2,200 signatures by the end of March in order for us to have a voice at the decision making council meeting in May.
