Physiotherapist for upper back pain: recommendation request

Back pain comes in a 1000 varieties and it's important to treat your problem appropriately. My mother went to a physio for shoulder pain only to discover the pain was rheumatoid arthritis and the physio was only aggravating it. I personally found the Alexander technique helpful for my back ache, though ultimately the only thing that fixed me was surgery. Maddy Paxman is an excellent local practitioner and is a HoL member. But really you should see your GP before you undertake any sort of treatment so you can be sure the treatment is right for you.

Many thanks for this Antoinette. Will see my GP and see if i can get a referral. But will look up Maddy Paxman for future reference.

I would recommend Hornsey Osteopathic Clinic. Both practitioners, Lance Turvey and Kevin Brownhill are excellent.
