Are you a Haringey NHS patient of Professor Malone-Lee?

Professor Malone-Lee runs a unique clinic at Hornsey Health Centre for sufferers of chronic UTI (cystitis). These are patients who have suffered for years before being written off by urologists as untreatable or even demented, and the clinic is their last resort. There has been a reckless attempt by the Whittington Hospital Trust to close it.

Last Friday, High Court action by some of Prof M-L's patients, members of a large closed group on Facebook, overturned this unsound decision, taken with no proper risk assessment.

Meantime, Haringey and Islington Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have denied this transformational treatment to c 270 residents, without the proper consultation they are bound to do. It remains to be seen whether the High Ct decision will change their attitude.
