Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Wanted, small shed or storage. Needed to store bikes outside. Can anybody help

Hi, we have just got some bikes and want to store them out front so we don't need to drag them up and down from basement or store them out front and risk them being nicked or damaged. Does anybody have anything they want to sell?

Cheers

Whatever you build, put a ground anchor into concrete first.  A wooden shed takes seconds to bust open, even metal ones are not proof against a jemmy.  So you have to chain the bike into the ground, as well as under cover.  You may have already spotted this.

I put in a ground anchor to chain up my fancy new metal gate: 15kg of handy cast iron.

I agree with pamish: sheds do not offer protection against theft. They do help protect from rain though. Definitely get ground anchors. I've used one if these screwfix ground anchors for each bike I have (left out the front of the house, not hidden) and have had no theft in the last 3 years (touch wood!).

Hope you can find some good storage for your bikes!
It's a real pain. I've been looking at front garden bike storage sheds for 2-3 bikes - so many different types.. Can anyone recommend a good one? (And reasonable priced) Metal seems best option (although not attractive but safer and longer lasting) - would appreciate some tips on this fed up with bikes in the house!
