Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I've recently returned from South America where I learnt that long distance running is a team rather than solitary sport. I really got into running / trail running  with other people, and was wondering if there are any nice groups open for newbies in the area? Weekdays runs are usually on the left hand side of the escalators, but in the weekend I'd love to do some real miles.

Thank you! I've taken advantage of their youth activity in the past and they were always very well run.

You can meet fellow runners at parkrun every Saturday at 9am in Finsbury Park, Ally Pally, Highbury Fields amongst other places, as well as Wednesday evening with the Haringey Goodgym. These aren't long distance runs but you'll meet other local runners. Many parkrunners are members of Heathside mentioned by Osbawn.

Thank you! Park runs are often mentioned, so it's probably a time to try to break my 5k PB!

Synergy studio in Tottenham lane has a running club - Wednesday nights and Saturday

Thanks JennyC

Hi Dulce,

Hope all is well.

My name is Varon and I lead a run club here in Haringey. We are called GoodGym, we run to do good deeds for our community and get fit together in doing so. Sound different? it is - it's great fun too. We meet every Wednesday evening at 6:45pm. We would be more than happy to have you join us on a run and task (good deed).

Check out the link below for more info or drop me a message. http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/get-fit-and-do-good-in-...

Thanks Varon. Love the idea! Weekday evenings are often complicated for me (work/childcare etc), but if it's possible to drop in on some of the sessions that sounds like a great opportunity to catch two birds with one stone.

No problem at all. You would be more than welcome Dulce. Do stay in touch and let me know if you wish to join us. Happy Running!
