Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Just saw the sign go up for the Shop next to Peacock - much more useful than a furniture store

Great!!

Whereabouts is this, I never go further north than 639.

Why's that? There be dragons?

Everything you need in the world is in SoTo, except dried chia berries.

Is this it?  (or where it will be by now)

I passed there yesterday and it is where half of Lloyds Pharmarcy used to be. It's great that it's opening up but I was told by a nutritionist 'keep away from H&B as their stuff is not all that, and that I'm better off going to the Haelan Centre. Do you recommend Holland & Barrett?

Holland +Barrett food is like any other branded wholefood/health food. It's a conventionally owned commercial company, part of NBTY Europe which is owned by the Carlyle Group, the enormous USian company that owns I think half of all USian food producers. The UK company does not sell GM food. A lot of their goods are from Neals Yard. I don't know where Haelan Centre buys from.

I can walk there, I can't walk to Crouch End.

No worries, as I will still patronise it.

yes, so will I, will try to switch some of my Tescos shopping there.  I was bemused by FB posts by many times wanna be politician Neville Collins complaining about H+B moving into Tottenham. Still haven't heard his specific objections.  I think he has issues with acai berries.
