Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi

My cat has been missing now for about 3 weeks, we live on Seymour road that backs on to Warham road just down for the passage.  His name is 'Spike' and has been staying away quite a lot from the house since March when we had the builders in for 3 months which obviously upset him but we have not seen him for the past few weeks and has not been seen in our neighbours gardens.  He is 6 years old and is very friendly in nature. I hope that he is just with another family, but would like to know that he is safe.  Please look at the photo attached and let me know if you have seen him.

Many thanks,

Nicola

Hiya,

I think I saw this cat yesterday near wood green station, along one of the back roads. Saw him at around 11pm walking around, friendly but kept his distance. It was very close to lordship lane so might be worth you checking there. Just googled the road, it is called Buller road xx

Thanks Nina i will take a look tonight

Will keep a lookout, hope you find him soon. Is he microchipped and neutered? If he is microchipped, remember to call the microchip company, tell them he is lost and check that they have your correct contact details. If he's not chipped, make sure local vets and animal rescue places have his details/photo.

It often helps to empty some contents of your hoover outside your home (or put out something which has his scent) at the front and back as he will recognise scent even if quite far away. He may have got out the front door by mistake when the builders were there and be in unfamiliar territory. Flyers are useful, including roads with gardens backing on to your garden.

It's also a good idea to put details of a lost pet on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk

This isn't relevant here as your cat went missing due to builders, so this is just general advice to other cat owners out there - it's a good idea to lock the catflap at night so that cats are safe inside at night as it reduces the risk of them getting lost or injured.

thanks Justine.  yes he is microchipped and neutered.

Well done, if only everyone were so sensible.
