Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

My sister very sadly died last year. Her cat has been living with her tenants until now but they are leaving at the end of June and we need to find a home for him - I am unable to take him due to allergies. If you would be willing to adopt him please get in touch. He is black & white, good natured, quite independent so would need a garden/outside space. I think he is 7-8 years old. I can send a pic if interested.

I am so sorry you lost your sister.

It will help to attract interest in the cat if you can add a cute close up photo of him on here.

I presume he is microchipped and neutered? (Remember on rehoming to get the microchip contact details updated to the new owner. Sadly if cats and dogs are not microchipped, they are at risk of being put down if they get lost).

Hopefully someone local with a garden and catflap can offer him a good home. He sounds like a lovely cat!

Also it helps to put up a photo/flyer in local vets. For example, if you give details to Village Vet, they will put the flyer in their North London branches www.villagevet.co.uk (Rosie is the branch co-ordinator and she is very helpful, her email is rosie@villagevet.co.uk).

Thanks - picture attached (hopefully!).

That's a great photo, he looks gorgeous and a well loved cat. I wish I could offer him a home, but we have our full quota of rescue cats already! I hope someone out there will give him a good home.

I mentioned your cat on this post

http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/wanted-kitten-for-a-goo...

and you will see that a lady called Barbara might be able to help if you give her a call (07815 493729)

Thanks, I will call tomorrow.

Have you had any luck yet finding a good home for him? I guess it's too soon to ask.

Maybe change your category to Pets, more people might see it.

Hi Justine, happily I have found a home for him - I asked friends via Facebook and coincidentally a friend was looking for a rescue cat to adopt. So my sister's cat is going to start a new life by the sea in Brighton.

Thanks for all your help.

Kate, that's great news, you've done well for him.
