Traffic in Harringay (Tonight's meeting

Dear Hugh,

It is unfortunate that I will not be able to attend the area forum today. but this is my contribution to the discussion if people think it is sensible.

The first question that all of us need to answer us that are we really serious to ease the traffic in this area?

If so, the issue of Hermitage Road and the Gardens have to be firmly dealt with. Both of those areas are public ways and I believe it is illegal to block them to have access for the few. If there are lawyers among us they should check it up.

Secondly, on the ladders, the only way traffic can be managed evenly is either we enter into all ladder roads from Green Lanes or Wightman Road. I am aware there may be impact of Wightman but will be minimal.

This is not to make any of the ladder roads dual way. No they should remain one way but all of them one way in to the ladders or out to the ladders then there will be less complain.
