Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Does anyone know how a leasehold can be extended?

if there is 99 years remanning and the freeholder is the council? an approximate cost? and if extended how does it work if the original term was for 125 years, will it go back to 125 years or more?

thanks

This organisation will give you individual advice, and has lots of general info on its website too:

great thanks!

I believe it's 90 years plus your current unexpired term. You'll find everything you need to know on the Lease website mentioned above, including a lease extension calculator which will give you a rough idea of cost.

thanks!

There's talk of biotechnology increasing our possible age by treble before not too long. I wonder what kind of effect that would have on the perception of leaseholds in the future ?
