Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Can anyone suggest what to do with my two girls over the Easter holidays?
I have one in reception and one in nursery , so they are 4.5 and 3.5 years old.
It doesn't seem that there is a single club/camp that takes them from 3 years old.
I cannot afford a private nanny for £10 or more an hour.
Please help? We are also not from uk so have no family to help at all.
I am panicking. What do other people do with their 3 year old/ nursery kids whose nursery is only during term time?

Hello

I don't know if this will be helpful but my daughter goes to a holiday club at the Hideaway in Stroud Green.  She is only 3.5 too and eligible as she is registered with Treetops, Stroud Green's after school club, but I know they take non Stroud Green children from school age at least so might be worth a go.  The number is here, but tbh I have found it easier to call in - it's open every day after school.

I also know the YMCA run a holiday club from age 4, which is open to nursery children.  Might not be any good for Easter but maybe if your daughter turns 4 this term it could be useful for the Summer holidays?

Finally, could you sort a mutual arrangement with other parents from the nursery in a similar boat?  I have done this and it's worked well, but am aware it might be trickier with 2.

Good luck - it's not easy!

I already tried stroud green. They said no. They only take 4 year olds.
I found something at hornsey lane estate but they only go till 5:30 so it's still a problem. And summer is going to be a nightmare my 3 year old doesn't turn 4 till sept.

Oh I am sorry to hear that.  They definitely take 3 year olds who go to Stroud Green nursery - my daughter is one of several who were there at half term.   Wonder why they can't be more flexible?  I hope you can make it work with the Hornsey Lane place.

I'd suggest asking at little jewels. Some of their kids only attend during the term so they might have a place during the holidays? Maybe suitable for your younger daughter though. 8-6pm. Then your school aged child could try the holiday clubs at either woodlands or north harringay?

We are in similar boat but three kids. I've no idea how people manage!!

It is a nightmare. North Harringay is not running a holiday club this Easter so there will be a lot of people looking for alternatives. My son went to Kori this half term which might be an option for your eldest, and Chestnuts Primary are apparently running a club too. But I don't know anywhere that will take your 3yo, other than private nurseries or childminders - and you would have to get lucky with a short-term vacancy.
