I do hope she finds something but at that budget it's unlikely. My brother is staying with me (he is a profesional, decent wage)and my family while he looks to rent a one bedroom flat for the same budget and is finding the search very difficult. He has had to rule Haringey out and is now looking further out to Walthamstow and Leyton where rents are a bit cheaper. London rents are ridiculous aren't they? Unaffordable even on a good wage. If you find an ethical landlord do let me know. Your friend might find somewhere on Gumtree or Zoopla.

I thought so. Still, a lot of money. My brother is struggling to find even a studio for that budget. :-(

Same here - have been looking for over a year on the same sort of budget. I have lived in Haringey for over 20 years and it hurts to have to look at leaving.
