According to Google Translate "Klippan" is Swedish for "the Rock".  Was it, Sassie?

I have a Klippan sofa story.  Not our own sofa. But a homeless member of the Klippan community; which between November 2010 and February 2011 was living rough on the forecourt of one of Haringey's commercial units.

I reported it of course. But the Council had great difficulty even in locating this navy blue sofa. Which was odd because when I walked past, it always seemed to be there. Usually couching down on the ground on its side or back. Though on one occasion settee-ing on its end. Another time lounging louchely against a wall.

Winter cold, rain and wind took their toll. Even with the finest Swedish design and manufacture, the Klippan looked increasingly forlorn and unkempt. No we didn't take it in. And I won't pretend it found a good home.
