I can't recommend anyone locally, but if you haven't already seen it this is a useful website http://solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk

If it's a negligence claim make sure you use a firm who do these sorts of claims regularly, so you save on time and money.

You can also speed up the process by writing up a timeline and gathering together all of the key documents e.g. contracts, reports, photos of before and after, and printing out any electronic correspondence.
