Hi try this guy I used a couple of weeks ago to move a sofa, I also recommended him on here last week http://www.harringayonline.com/m/discussion?id=844301%253ATopic%253...

We paid £40 and he and my partner carried it in to the sitting room.

We used a local guy last week to transport a sofa. He was very reasonably priced for the job we needed and turned up on time and was very efficient. I would recommend him. Can't remember his name and I've misplaced his card but if you google Harringay Man & Van Green Lanes his business comes up and this is his number from my phone 02035335792.

I'd recommend you to check http://www.bestmove.co.uk/. You can either write on their booking form or call them.

I've used them for furniture delivery and I liked the price.

Alison, how big is the furniture? If it's not too big, you can borrow my little van (Ford Ka). Just pick it up from my house (N4, off Green Lanes) and bring it back! (As long as you're insured to drive another vehicle, of course).
