Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Hi there,

My partner and I are interested in looking after people's dogs while they are away. We are interested in getting a dog of our own at some stage, but we recently looked after a friend's dog and really enjoyed it so we wanted to try dog sitting for a while first. We also just heard from a friend who regularly provides a free weekend service, and enjoys having dogs for short periods without the responsibility of owning a dog.

Both of us grew up with dogs, although we have never owned a dog ourselves. We could provide a reference from our friend if required.

We would not charge although we'd obviously expect food etc to be provided.

We love in a large (60m2) one bedroom, ground floor flat with a garden. I work from home much of the week, and the dog would not be left on his/her own for longer than 4 hours. Nonetheless, I'm not sure the flat would be suitable for large dogs.

I know there is a website that matches owners with holiday/weekend 'fosterers', but I thought I might try this forum first.

At the moment, I am just finding out if there would be any interest.

Thanks

Simon

Yes, I'd be interested. We have a 2yr old spaniel cross who is very friendly and very energetic. Only need dog sitting sometimes, but would be very happy to lend out for walks etc.

Thanks Malcolm for your reply - we'll have a think and bear it in mind!

All the best

Hi Simon
I'd be interested, I have a cockapoo. Whereabouts are you?
Julia

Hi thanks Julia - apologies for the late reply. We are based on Langham Rd, near the junction with Waldeck,

Best wishes

Simon

Could you handle two? Our dog walker doesnt do boarding so we'd be very interested in the future if you could?! thx James

Thanks James but I think two might be a bit much for our flat

Cheers

Simon

We'd be interested.

We have a 6 year old JRT, very well behaved compared to most JRTs, friendly, biddable, affectionate, great fun and does tricks if you wanted a bit of entertainment.

We are also caring for my sisters elderly JRT ( sleeps mostly) for a wee while.
