Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Our cat Pumpkin has gone missing, have you seen him? He lives normally at Cyprus Close but has been staying with family on Effingham rd whilst we were away on hols. He seemed distressed apparently when builders came into the property and has disappeared. As you can imagine we are very concerned and miss him greatly. He is about 4 to 5 years old, very healthy, a good size, soft attractive fur and very friendly. He is chipped. Will try and find a clearer picture of him but this is a start taken a few years ago.

Will keep a lookout. I see that he went missing from Effingham road where he was temporarily staying while you were on holiday. If he got out of that house by mistake, he wouldn't know where he was, so would not be able to find his way home either to Effingham road or his usual home in Cyprus Close. In the first instance, he is likely to be in a radius of 5 gardens of neighbouring houses in Effingham Road and also gardens backing on to the property from the other side.

In these circumstances, it's a good idea to sprinkle outside the contents of your hoover or his litter tray as he will recognise the scent from far away and come towards it.

You can take comfort in the fact that you were sensible to microchip him - at least that means even if you don't find him straightway, at some point he should be found and scanned and returned to you. Best of luck. I've put this in both your posts and linked it. It's also worth putting his details on www.animalsearchuk.co.uk

Thank you Justine. x

Keeping an eye out for him too. Really hope you find him.

Thank you Lauren. x

I hear your cat was found, really pleased for you! Thank goodness you had sensibly microchipped him.

Great news! Where was he found?

Assuming this is the same Pumpkin, he was found in Allison road.

YES! I was going to post about it today!! We have been out all day, so good that news gets around. Heard yesterday afternoon.... a lovely man I believe called Remy found him, he had visited him for four days wanting feeding, so I believe he borrowed a cat basket from a neighbour and brought him to the vets on Priory Rd by the park, Zasman where they found the microchip. They were lovely to. Poor Pumpkin has lost loads of weight, and he was covered in ticks... but he is clearly so relieved to be back home!! I will hopefully get to visit and thank Remy this week.

Thank you all for your well wishing and support in looking out for him, it really helped us cope with missing him. He was lost for around a month, a long time.

Kind regards to you all.

Gilly and Pumpkin x
