Isnt democracy great! Our mayor uses our money to buy water cannon to assault us, while closing 10 London fire stations and sacking 600 fire fighters. Not to mention raising the retirement age so firefighters will fail stringent fitness tests due to their age so they can be sacked without full pensions!

These are just for "confidence", like Dumbo's black feather. I am fine with them having them, without the legal right to use them. They'll tow them to riots and only use them if overrun and in self defence, which is better than not turning up to the riot.

It's a huge miss calculation of the non conformist london spirit that goes way back to the days the idle monarchy used to tax the industrious London workers and will galvanise resentment fast.

... So stupid it makes me wonder if Boris has got a heads up on a very major mis hap that may result in such a huge wave of discontent in the capital which the rest of us haven't seen coming ... ?

very naive John. Water cannon are not used for riot control but to clear the streets of popular protest.
