Wood Green high street regeneration has begun
The space age piss stops are being take down. Loads of pavements getting pulled up outside 'Hollywood green'. Also the street by Liddle is full of crash barriers.

Do you know what they are putting there instead of pavements? I didn't know if they were making the roads wider?

The plans are all online on the haringey website. I can't remember, mainly ripping out the bus shelters and putting in three or four semi mature tree's.
There was talk of an outdoor public cinema space as well but I think that was always pie in the skyline.

Some mature trees and seats would be great. We drove through Brixton last weekend, also a shopping centre with a great big road running through it and some ill placed bus stops. But then you get to the Ritzy and a great big piazza, plaza, square sprawling out in front, a hugh oak tree and seating. Very cool, cosmopolitan. All sorts mingling together and chilling out.

Was in Brixton today, it had a really nice vibe about it. Lots of tree's, diverse mix of people, old market stall type fish mongers and green grocers right onto the high street. Lots of human scale buildings. Lots of chilling out on the pavements, yeah really nice.
