This video footage shows the moment a family car was engulfed in a fireball seconds after a baby and elderly man were pulled from the vehicle.
Flames had quickly spread from the engine of the silver Peugeot 307 when it caught fire as it was carrying four people along Craven Park Road, in South Tottenham, on Sunday.
Two worshippers from a nearby synagogue came to the aid and managed to rescue a child from the car seat and an elderly man who had become panic-stricken and was unable to unfasten his seatbelt. Two other passengers managed to flee before the silver Peugeot 307 exploded.
No-one was injured in the incident, and the fire took firefighters 15 minutes to extinguish, though the car was completely destroyed by the inferno.
