The Event
The Crouch End Fun Run & Festival, organised by North London YMCA -one of the largest community events in North London, a diary must for many - takes place Sunday 18th May. The day of the Crouch End Fun Run & Festival kicks off with the Adult 10k race at 09:30, and the Children's 1 mile races follow on from 12:00 onwards. With over 2,500 adults and children competing in the 10 races, and thousands more enjoying the music and entertainment that runs alongside, it is a widely celebrated day which raises charitable funds and awareness for vulnerable homeless young people.
How You Can Help
This year, the YMCA Crouch End 10k and Fun Runs Organisers are offering reduced entry fees to people who commit to raising at least £30 in sponsorship to help vulnerable young homeless people build a better future. Many young people arrive at the hostel with nothing, having fled abuse at home, or are already homeless and have turned to petty crime. We support their transition to independent living, and into work.
• 5 could provide a young person fleeing abuse, with a wash kit and toothbrush on their first night in our hostel.
• £10 could provide a hot evening meal and breakfast
• £35 could provide one night’s accommodation
• £150 could provide computer training enabling a homeless young person to gain employment
• £200 provides a young person, who has turned their life around, with training to divert others away from crime

I see I got an email to my spam folder from funrun@ymcahornsey.org.uk mentioning that this year we'd have to collect our numbers from the YMCA in person, the weekend before the run.
Hope everyone got that email and collected their bibs! (I didn't)
