a nearly burglary nearly next door
this morning when I came out the door the lady at the end had him pinned against the privet next to her - the would be burglar..he had attacked the metal front door next to hers with a screw driver and a hammer by the look of it.. not a v efficient burglar... she called the police....and was remonstrating with him, a tall gangly ginger youth, who said in broken English that he had been trying to get in to collect his mail (the house has been sold recently). She was having a heated discussion with him about this being a criminal activity and that the police were on their way...I went to work as he appeared to be exiting at a rapid walk towards Green Lanes, no sign of the police. Apparently neighbours on both sides were alerted by the amount of noise whe was making...

Yes - I will ask her if she and her partner want to come to the next do... good idea.
Not sure if he wanted to squat or not... possible I suppose ....
