Fusion to remove diving facilities at Park Road - sign the petition
I have never been a keen diver, but what seems to be happening here is that Fusion got the contract to run Park Road Pool based on a promise to retain and improve the diving facilities (which are used by local schools and nationally competing clubs) and also a grant from the Mayor's Office of over £200, 000 towards installing a moveable floor in the dive pool. However, they have now decided it would be 'too expensive', and that they will remove the dive facilities altogether. It's a marketing coup isn't it? There is no way haringey council could lose those extremely rare London diving boards after so much talk of the 'Olympic legacy', they would look like idiots.
Sounds like a clever idea to get more punters at the door.
Signed and face booked it anyway, just in case they really are idiots.
