I met Fernando last week to learn to cook something Spanish. I study the language at the moment and I'm interested in the culture and the cuisine too so was very happy to see his post here.
He lives with his girlfriend in a nice flat near Turnpike Lane station. They are both very friendly and I really felt welcome in their place. The kitchen was clean and tidy and definitely big enough for us boys to get on with the chopping, slicing, breaking (oh just the eggs!), frying etc. And hey presto! Following his instructions I managed to make my first ever Spanish omelette (tortilla española)!
I wholeheartedly recommend a cooking lesson with Fer to everyone who's interested in getting to know authentic Spanish recipes. I'm definitely going back for more culinary Iberian adventures - and a good banter!
Thanks very much Harry, so glad you enjoyed it. It was a pleasure to share a bit of my country's culinary tradition. Looking forward to next week! :)
