Hello
I am voluteering on a project for Rowan Arts that I thought you might be interested in.
We are looking for people who have lived or worked on Seven Sisters Road or know someone who has and are willing to share their stories using oral history. We are also looking for photographs and memorabilia from both areas to record and contribute to the heritage projects
The main output will be an interactive website, where people can listen to the oral histories, explore material donated by others and collected at archives – and contribute their own material - and download the walks as digital trails.
If you knew any body that might be interested it would be great to make contact with them. Any help or advice your able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
Best wishes
Ruth

Hi,
I worked on Seven Sisters Road towards the end of the eighties when I worked for Finsbury Park Action Group and I lived off Seven Sisters Rd in Tottenham and my children went to a school on Seven Sisters rd. Would be happy to be involved. Will send you an email
Is it a certain part of SSR that you are interested in? N7, N4 or N15?
My grandparents and mother ran a business on SSR from the 1930s until the 60s. They also kept geese on the land where Wickes? now is. Every now and again, a row a geese would escape and march along SSR, with my mum behind trying shoo them back.
Could probably dig up some other stories too.
An HOLer called Jamie Bamber did something similar (but solely about Finsbury Park) for a research project last year. Sadly the website seems to have disappeared (it was good - had some history and a map with buttons linking to relevant sounds and interviews) but he put some of the interviews on the Internet Archive: https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Jamie+Bamber%22
See if you can track him down. I thought it was a great start but he didn't have the time to administer an ongoing project. If you search HOL for 'finsbury park stories' you'll find the thread.
Good luck and keep me copied in!
